Fall registration is now open for recreation classes. We will start recreation classes on September 9th, 2020. We plan to start classes live in studio, however if the executive order does not allow for in-studio class we will proceed with virtual classes. In-studio classes will start as soon as we are allowed. Classes are limited to 7 students. Masks are required, unless medically excused. Click here to register.
Take the survey to help us determine if we should offer face masks with the tda logo. Only take the survey if you would purchase a mask. Taking the survey does not commit you to buying a mask. The masks would be less than $10 each with a discount when purchasing 2 or more. Thank you in advance for your help!
We are pleased to be able to allow each recreational class to return by appointment for the final week of classes! Attached you will find our new COVID19 Safety Policies as well as the appointment schedule for the week. Your class times may vary slightly from original class times. This will allow us to properly sanitize between classes and will keep the number of people in our building under the state’s guidelines. Please read everything thoroughly before returning so there are no surprises for anyone. We look forward to seeing all of you soon!
First, we want to thank you all for continuing with us as we negotiate these uncertain times. We’re so happy to have you all as part of our studio.
We are planning the following pending the stay home is not extended again. All recreational classes will return to the classroom on June 13th-19th for one week of in person classes. We will have some new COVID safety guidelines sent in a separate notice and will be spacing classes which may change your class time by 5-10 minutes so that we can properly sanitize and keep traffic in the studio down to a minimum. Watch for those times to be sent next week.
If you did not receive your costume before COVID closed us, we will be calling you to make an appointment time for a fitting June 1-12.
Unfortunately, both theaters that we have used are not allowing performances for the duration of the summer regardless of social distance planning. So we have turned one of our dance rooms into a performance space complete with background. We will send out a schedule (again tentative on stay home being lifted) for one class at a time to come in at a time with just parents to perform in our in studio show that will span June 20th-26th. We are also hoping to have a photographer on site to take individual pics in a separate room during this same time. A yearbook with a different look will be produced and be available for pickup this summer during open hours. It will include 1 individual pic of each dancer, a list of our dances with cast, and will have the option to purchase personal ad space for your dancer as always. Ad spaces can be purchased June 1st-26th with Portrea in the office. We want to do our best to provide a performance opportunity for the dancers while keeping everyone as safe as possible and thank you for supporting our efforts.
Please watch your email for COVID safety guidelines and any further changes pending executive order. Thanks again for sticking with us and we look forward to seeing you all in person again.
We will be continuing your zoom classes through May per the Governor’s orders for safety. We miss seeing you all in person very much and look forward to returning to the studio once it’s deemed safe to do so. We are still planning on holding some version of a recital this summer once we get the okay to do so. We’re happy to continue to provide dance in the safety of your home until then. Thank you for your continued support.
We know you have lots of questions, and we will do the best to answer them as we have something to share. Let’s talk recital. It’s currently scheduled for June 14th Village Theater Show & June 20th Main Show. As we know more about how long we’ll be unable to meet, we will adjust those dates as needed. We are prepared to move the date, move the venue, and even come up with creative ways to get your kids on the stage if small gatherings become safe before we’re released to our normal lives. We definitely will not cancel that recital as we know the kids have been working on those dances and want to wear those costumes. But we will make whatever arrangements are necessary to keep your family safe as we proceed. That is all the information we have at this time, and will definitely keep you posted as new more definitive info is available. Stay home, stay safe, and enjoy your online dance classes!
To serve you all to the best of our ability with digital classes, we are adding google classroom to our program. Take the live class on zoom, then find a video recording and any notes from your instructor in your class on google classroom. You will receive a link shortly to your google classroom. Just accept it to join! And please continue to be patient with us as we learn more new skills to work on the digital platform.
